Shaft Play Q?

if a turbo supposedly has been used for ~6 months, (5,000 miles and 10 track passes) and it has zero in/out play and a "slight bit" of up/down play, is this turbo still in great shape for a daily driver?

btw, looking to replace stocker on daily driver/ some weekends racer it's a gt3255e described above

I am no expert but would say that if in addition to your description, there are no oil/seal leaks, it is good to go.
