Shift cable adjustment??

Hi
How do you go about adjusting the shift cable? I put in a new one and it is not quite right, I'm having trouble getting the keys out of the ignition, and I'm having trouble getting the shifter all the way to PARK (not quite enough forward travel) Thanks!

Thanks a lot MeanBuicks, I was about to post a similar question. Mine doesn't line up quite right, and I was gonna hack into it in the early spring. Doesn't look too bad!

Not sure if this is related, but could the shifter being a little "off" also explain why my car's reverse lights don't go on when I'm in Reverse?? I thought the switch could be off too. Anyway, thanks!
