I'm at a loss right now! I'm trying to figure out how the neutral safety switch is activated on floor shifter model Buicks. I have a project that I've been working on that came in pieces & I have to put it together. If someone has a diagram that can help me, It would be much appreciated.

What moves the neutral safety switch to position it to let the car start?

Great info! I think I'm missing that linkage. Do you have any pix of the setup?

I new something had to be missing, car would not crank with ignition switch. I was using a remote start switch to crank it. Thank a whole lot for this info! Now the hunt begins to piece that all together.

You can grab the column and rotate by hand to get it to work temporarily.
