Who's kit?
What new symptoms did it introduce?

Have you gone through the diagnostic process or are you assuming the shift kit altered the lockup circuit? There's not much to the lockup. Is the ecu commanding lockup?

Bison I am assuming because I haven't heard of anyone having them on turbo bucks. I don't know how to diagnostic process. I'm pretty sure the edu is doing it. I haven't done anything to the tranny besides rebuild and put new torque converter and shift kit. I don't know what kit was put in the guy who built my tranny put it in. I'm getting terrible gas milage and seems that converters not locking up right. i thought maybe since it was a 2800 stall converter , the shift kit might be affecting it. thanks for the help fellas

A shift kit "usually" doesn't do anything to the lock up function. I have a B&M shift kit that I installed.

I put a used trans in and a new 2800 lu converter and noticed the lu would not work and kept playing with the TV adj and found out it was too tight , adj it back some and bingo the lu started working , you may have something like that messing with you .

As Bison asked, does the ecm lock up the converter? Did you install a bottom feed filter with extension tube? When I did this the extension tube was not bent properly and pinched my lockup wires causing it to short. I had no lockup or AC since it is on the same circuit.

The TV adjustment has nothing to do with TC lock up. The TC lock up hydraulic circuit isn't even in the valve body it is in the front pump.

As a test you can force the TCC command by looping a wire from the upper left terminal of the ALDL diagnostic connector under the dash to the upper right terminal. When the transmission shifts to second gear, it should automatically lock up regardless of vehicle speed or throttle position.

If it does not lock up, either there is a wiring issue, TCC solenoid issue, pump issue or converter problem.

How do you like the B&M shift kit... I got a spare tranny with B&M installed. Many people complain about using spacers in kit and how hard the B&M shifts at low speed. I had one in a Monte Carlo SS with a 406 and it barked 1-2, 2-3 and tried to bark 4th ;).

I don't think it shifts too hard. It has been in my transmission for at least 23 years! Maybe longer I don't remember the exact year I put it in but I am the original owner of the car!

IM NOT GETTING POWER TO THE CONVERTER. IM GETTING GROUND THOUGH. I checked my fuses under dash all good anything else i could check. I have new motor harness from Casper's. dont know what else to check

The 12 volts passes through a switch at the break pedal. Look under the dash and make sure the switch is pushed against the bresk pedal. There are 2 switches under there.

If you don't have cruise control there will only be one switch.

Technically no, only the TCC switch needs to be plugged in but you need to make sure the plunger of the switch is pushed against the brake pedal. That is what I mean by checking the brake switch. Sometimes they back off of the pedal.
