shift kit

I just recently installed an Art Carr shift kit and tranny cooler. The car shifts noticably firmer, however my question is when racing, should i manually shift or just put the car in drive and let it go automatically? Thanks guys

Art Carr shift kit is a very good one and Bruce T even recommends its. I have installed one and i liked it. Allow the car to shift itself in Drive (D). It is more efficient and without my shifter mod it is difficult to not shift into OD.

whered you get your shift kit? how much did it cost to install?

I got mine from Kirban perfromance...It didn't cost me anything since i traded some old subs for the shift kit/tranny cooler installation
