shift quality ?

Getting my tranny freshened in a week or so. I am installing a hardened stator and PTS pressure reg kit. My tranny had hard light throttle shifts(chirp 2nd @ 1/4 throttle). Do I need to change seperater plate with a new one? The stk one has been drilled and some check balls were removed. Should I put a stk sep plate in or get a shift kit? Also putting a new servo in.
