shifter broke need help!!

My shifter broke where you put the clip for the shifter handle. I need the shaft part of it.

I'm guessing you mean the shifter handle? The clip slides in the base of the handle (looks like a slot) and engages the relieved area of the shift handle. The clip looks like a heavy duty black staple.

For future reference......you can shift a GN by grabbing the column in front of the steering wheel and rotating it clock wise to get it into reverse and into gear to get you home until you can replace the broken shifter cable. Hell.......unless you race it..........you can drive like that for years. Helps build fore arm strength. LOL

I did that once at the strip when the cable broke backing at the burnout box
