shifting to drive from park and BAM!

Hey folks. Need some help.

When I shift the column shifter from park to overdrive, (heading to 3 for crusing on the street) it surges forward bigtime with a big thump...

It only does it when it's warm. Is this normal or a big problem?

How high is the idle and if the incorrect TC was installed at a relativly high idle it would do that.

Thanks for the help HOMETOWN...

The idle is 750rpm(high torque cam and a little lopey/GM TBI system)

Pheonix recommended the TC (when I originally ordered the 2004R) after they spoke to me as to how much the L6 was modified/drivetrain questions and the like.... I believe it is a Lock-up type, not sure how much stall.
