My tranny shifts fast and firm when the car is cool. In other words when I get in, start it up, put it in gear and go, it shifts like it should and almost feels like it has a mild shift kit in it. However after the car is up to operating temp it shifts very sluggish (flairs at 1-2 and 2-3) and the harder you get on it the earlier it wants to shift. When I pull out from a stop sign and immediately get on it, it shoots into second with in the first 50 feet or so. Does anyone know what causes this and can it be fixed with out a complete rebuild?
Thanks, Steve

First thing to do is install a pressure gage or at least do a service and retorque the valve body, governor and acc housing bolts and road test,.

I had the same problem. Try a external transcooler and a F-Body radiator to control engine temps better. After I switched to that set up, I'm running 90% cooler. MY T LOVES IT.
