SignUp Now!You are still going to have to splice the solenoid. The nos ones on e-bay have the wrong configuration for our transmissions. They are wired for a thermal switch and no 3rd gear switch.I just bought a brand new old stock GM one from Ebay for 15 bucks. The guy has 10 of them. I dont like cutting wires if i don't have to.
Cut and splice them. Solder them together and use heat shrink to insulate them.So. Should I cut the 2 tcc wires and splice them to the factory ones
If so what size connectors do I need
They are the same. The only difference is the one for a 700-R4 has a longer snout. That's why you need the spacer when installed in a 200-4R.If I remember correctly the 700r4 was a more heavy duty unit and that's why we used them when the original failed. Can someone shine some light on this , I might be wrong.
