What would win in an all stock race between the best 3000GT VR4 and a 1987 Turbo Regal (whichever)?
Also which car would win if both had some minor "tweeks"?

My friend loves the VR4s and he thinks that they are the best.

The best VR4's ran high 13's. Turbo Buicks (86-87) run VERY high 13's to 14.3's or so. BUT, VR4's are VERY expensive to mod. Put $500.00 in parts on the Buick and it will run a high 12. Sooo.....the choice is easy, Buick would win with-out breaking a sweat!!

+1 Vr4 expensive to mod and even more when it breaks. One thing that holds the vr4 is the weight.I seen one weigh in at union grove and it tipped the scales at 4025 lbs:eek: That car was running mid 12 second passes. They were calling it the two ton wonder. The all wheel drive is nice in the snow.I have had eclipse gsx's and a galant vr4 and what a blast to drive.they are pretty fast but they are no buick.Buick is easy to work on.Replace turbos on a vr4 and you will learn some new words.Dont forget the timing belt:eek: what a nightmare. GO BUICK

Stock for stock the 3SI will take it but start throwing mods at it and all bets are on the G-body.
