Shopping for a Daily Driver

I'd skip the bike in SoCal... Way too much traffic and people who don't pay attention... Although an antique indian would be nice for the occassional cruise.

I like the notch 5.0, those were always sweet. I was just thinking about gas prices in SoCal and the fact that your TR will be down for upgrades (?)

I hate gutless cars but recently I parked my fast DD and started driving that beater Honda... I can barely speed so there's no tickets, I rarely stop at the gas station, my insurance is super cheap, I don't worry about where I park it, and I don't worry about repairs... It's just a dd and gets the job done and has average of 40mpg and I can use the cheap fuel too!...

I'd go with the SC Regal. Lots of room, fairly inexpensive, good gas mileage, it's a family car that'll woop most cars on the road!

Consider the $ and go to Autotrader - might surprise you as to what is available - but I like the list you already have!

A turbocoupe thunderbird or SVO mustang wouldn't be bad for a DD either or even a turbo daytona. All would be good on gas and cheap to mod. BUT since you do have two kids, the regal GS may be a better choice for reliability.
