Ever since fast and the furious these prices have gone WAAAAAY up. I have wantted one since back in the dukes of hazzard days and was planning on buying 1 a few years ago before getting stationed overseas. unfortunately since F&F the prices are too outrageous. If you do plan on getting one i would DEFINATELY get it before the new dukes of hazzard movie comes out. especially if you want a general. I dont even want to think about how much more they will go up after that.
I will have mine someday before i die too. or maybe shortly after. I could have someone use my life insurance for a really sweet coffin:D

IF it is what you want, and IF you can afford it (or even just barely), I say "Buy it!".

They aren't making any more of those outstanding machines and few muscle cars had as much personality as the '68-'70 Chargers.

Go for it and good luck!

As much as I like musclecars, I can't see that they're worth that when you can go out and buy a brand new 2004 GTO with an LS1, a 6 speed, 4 wheel discs, IRS, a leather interior, a killer Blaupunkt, and on, and on, for $25K.

I see all kinds of musclecars cars at local cruises. Most are too rough for my tastes, and putting them right would cost a small fortune. The perfect ones are too scarey to drive with all the dumbazzez on the roads. I mean, I'm glad folks own 'em, because I sure enjoy looking at 'em, but I'm glad I don't own one...

Good luck whatever way you go...

:)

69 charger has always been a dream of mine too. Speaking of appreciation of mopars...in 78ish my dad bought a matching numbers 69 HEMI superbee for $4000. Car is still mostly origional (msd, centerlines...), in great shape and unrestored. Only problem is, you have to be very careful with a matching numbers car...my advice: get a clone and drive it like you stole it.
