Should I have shift kit installed during rebuild?

I have an Art Carr shift kit that I have had forever. I am having the tranny rebuilt now. What are the pro and cons of the Art Carr shift kit and should I use it? The part # on the kit is 12001.
I will also be using the CK Performance D5 restalled convertor.
Suggestions?

hey tim ,i dont really have any positive input on anyone elses shift kit but ours as i feel that most are not engineered properly.i would use ours if you are not liking the brutal light throttle shifts most poorly designed kits give.
