I will be manually shifting the trans at 6000-6500 (behind small block Chevy)(atleast I hope it will manually hold that high)

Governer is just stock heavy weight type with single spring. 5.0 G body I beleive.

I have GN spring that I think I will throw in, and I will "stake" the spring to prevent it from flying out somehow.

Other then that should I drill holes in the weights and make them lighter?

I don't care so much what it shifts at automatically at light or WOT.

Whatcha think?

There are different land diameters on the lo control valve in the valve body and based on manual lo pressure this will dictate if the governor can force an upshift in manual lo.I know you have my kit so the pump has the right manual boost valve. What is the valve body code?

numbers on the vavle body are 9017*D-8 and 47 below that. Yellow paint on the side

numbers on tag are CTF 059-901CTF0297

I was told if it said AK or AJ on the valve body it it would hold manual low. idk what that means but mine does have AJ on it.
