Gentlemen
I just got a multi-year project started and driving last night, the engine I purchased was from a stock GN with 40K miles.
Cranked and run fine after years of being off working and eliminating all the other issues, trans rebuild, paint, interior etc... I finally drove the car last night for the first time since purchase in 2007! Car does not have a hot wire kit but I have one to install this morning. While driving last night everything seems fine except if you get into it hard it feels just like you shut the key off and the "Service Engine Soon" light would flash, it goes off and the car takes off again to repeat the same action again.
Have no experience with these cars but have been a mechanic all my life. Looking for some input as what is the direction I need to go. The guy I bought the car from said it had a "Conley Performance" chip in it from the 80's, I will check that this morning also.
I do have a Scanmaster, a DATA Logger and a Innovative Motorsports XD-16 Standalone gauge kit w/LC-1 Cable.
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks
JP
