I have been having some problems with my T-type lately. It first started with a rough idle. So I replaced the crank sensor, which smoothend the idle somewhat. Next I noticed that the problem was an intermittent loss of horsepower. Sometimes it hauls, sometimes it doesn't. So I replaced the plug wires with little success. As of right now I feel like I am scavenging for power like I did on my stock 350 monte. I am still having trouble with the engine running a little rough. My guess: the idle air control, does this cause a power loss. In most cases no, but with buicks who knows. I am going to try changing out the coil assembly in the next day or two. The light flashes a 12 when the car is off(with GM Key) but the check engine light doesn't stay on. It turns on after about 15 minutes of driving. Keep in mind I have also changed out the 02 already too. Other things I am going to try.

-a new chip
-pcv valve
-ecm
-iacv

Can you guys add to my list? Thanks!

Whoa cowboy..... hold off on 'the list'!! If you must have a 'list' we can come up with a much better one full of go-fast parts rather than swapping perfectly good stuff out! :p Nope, not the IAC causing any power loss... Before you go swap happy with parts, we need to figure out what the problem is.... Not sure what you mean by 'GM Key', but I'm assuming this is some sort of hicky that shorts out terms. a & b on the aldl connector.... correct? Code 12 is normal and means the ecm has self checked itself and is standing by, ready for action. Now... if there is no code stored, than it flashes 'just' code 12 over and over. After you start driving, and 'after 15 min. or so' the check engine lite comes on, that means a code has been sensed and stored. You need to retrieve that code via your 'gm key', or a paper clip works fine. You aren't DRIVING with the aldl shorted are you?? If so, that's a no-no. What chip is in the car and what chip are you planning to swap in? Have you checked fuel pressure? Do you have a scanmaster or any other type of scan tool? Don't just randomly start swapping parts. We can figure out the problem here, and only fix what's broke... if anything. Answer these few questions, and we'll go from there....
