When reviewing the data on my ScanMaster I noticed that my cross counts are going up by 2-3 slowly warmed up in park at idle, does this mean my O2 sensor is on its way out. The O2 sensor that I am using right now is a GNX sensor that I installed 2 years ago. Also if I need to replace it should I use a stock GN O2 sensor instead, I read a couple of threads where there where issues with the GNX O2. Thanks, Kyle.

You can tell by the readout. If it's staying relatively close to .450 then it's shot. It will be no good before it throws the code from what I've seen.

My O2 was lazy switching numbers and at times it would freeze up. The car would run rough, then the code would set. Hope this helps. Get a Denso O2 sensor, P/N 234-1001 they last pretty well.

Denso used to have the laziest sensors out there. I'd run a stock one or a Bosch before I ran anything else

This is what I recommend unless you run leaded gasoline. If you run leaded, use the Denso. You don't have any other choice.

Another good test is to see if your O2 numbers fall from 830s to 780-800 during a full quarter mile run. If it stays about the same it's a good indication that it's bad.

Denso isnt any better than any other from what I've seen. About 4hrs run time on straight leaded fuel and the sensor is not working effectively enough to maintain 14.7:1. It may go through 3 tanks full before it throws the code but in reality it's crap long before that. If you run leaded you could set it up to run open and just run a plug in the O2 sensor location. If the block learn is locked at 128 WOT you are all set. You could probably have the chip burned to not throw the code if running it open too. Drivability may be lousy but the sensor issue will be gone.
