Simple Question: Cat/Testpipe/Y-Pipe flange

Are they always the same flange regardless of what combination of parts you use? I.E. a 3" cat will hook up to a 2.5" Y-pipe because the flange/bolt pattern remains the same?

Pretty lame question, but I've never done performance upgrades on my GN before.

Yes, the 4 bolt flange connection is (almost) always the same size/configuration. There are differences in the length of test pipes/cat converter connecting to the downpipe that people have trouble with sometimes. That's where the muffler shop can help. HTH.

Alright thanks. I'm not incredibly worried about how long the cat/test I choose is, because I'm probably designing the rest of the system myself, so I'll cut accordingly. Just wanted to make sure that it would bolt up. Thanks.
