how fast can one get a "stock" apearing tr motor? how big of a bore/stroke- porting stck heads - intake? cams ?the biggest you can go on a stock turbo? can you put a billet wheel in a stock turbo- can you convert it to bb ? of course bigger inj- chips-stock ext man-stock dp- stock up pipe? id like to set up a combo that only shows upgraded intake-ext- coils-wires- and an alky kit.
any and all help is appreciated
just trying to see if the et's at the track would make it worth it, i wanna beat up on the imports but i dont wanna scare them away- looking to get the combo to pay for it self-lol, thank you in advance

TA62 stock appearing, billtet 3.5 inch inlet, and I guess you could put a ported stock exhaust housing on it and use the stock downpipe.

Champion irons and a stroker built motor stretch intercooler from stock cores etc.

That should work for one race anyway....

Then you probably won't get another.:p

Red Armstrong's Grey T-type. (Jane's car). Concours car, fast as hell. Go on the GSCA nationals pics website if you want to see the engine compartment. Completely stock appearing.

no street racing- but its hard to get a race at the track when every one knows your car- wanna build a sleeper so i can advertise it at the track as an "everyday driver". is mid 10 sec passes possible?

No ricer is going to know stock appearing or not. I'm going to tell everyone mine is stock too.

My basically stock GN:

I dunno Grumpy, even a ricer would know that's not stock

I really wanted to get a turbo shield on it BUT never got around to it. Car is quiet an doesn't "look" like a fast car when ya see the driver :p
..Now leave the ricers out of this  I think mine looks like a sleeper except for the chrome rims. Rims were FREE so I used them. It isn't very pretty but neither is the driver

any detailed part lists, any special porting? chips? tranny? converters, what can i get away with on stock motor/trans pans. oh and average$$$$$, is 11.5 sec passes possible?

Just so we can understand your goals, it's 11.5 in a straight line against ricers. Correct? Plus is has so look "stock". What is your budget? What are your abilities? Do you even have a car? I'm not trying to diss you or anything, but I see you just joined last month and no mention of a car in your profile. If you would read some of the archives via the search function you will find that 11.5's are relatively easy with a stock engine with certain mandatory upgrades, all bolt on's. How much money do you have?

Here is a pic of my motor. The only slight give away is the blow off valve. That is to help heep me from snapping my small shaft turbo (PT54).

I even run the stock cover and have a BGC elbow/down pipe.

I went 10.81 @ 24 Lbs boost November before last. Mega streetable.

.020 over hyper pistons, 112 roller cam, Champion CNC iron heads w/ T&D 1.65 RRs, 1" spacer, Hemco stock appearing plenum, 70mm Accu TB, oversize SLIC, Razors alky w/ dual nozzles, 55Lb low impedance injectors, Extreme Automatics stage 2 tranny w/ brake.

Bench seat car that gets 18MPG if I am not getting on it.
