Slicks and Trap Speeds?

Will slicks (e.g. MT ET streets at 14 psi) cause a drop in trap speed? My friend is seeing 2 mph slower (but ets are lower, yes) with the slicks, as compared to 34 psi radials. Thanks.

Normal...With slicks you hook much better help ET, but they have more rolling resistance slowing your trap speeds.

Also, I believe, everything else being eqaul, that your MPH will be lower with a lower ET since your car is on the track for a shorter period of time to build speed. I think that a lot of people have their best MPH and best ET on different runs.
