Slight lifter tick - is this a problem ?

Thanks for the info, but I've seen this done over the years with no problems whatsoever, but I also got reassurances from the techs a Comp Cams that as long as assembly lube was used that it will merely put the same pattern into the new lifters. As previously stated though, I will be looking for cupping on lifters first and then go from there.

If you guys have any experiences to the contrary please tell me, I'm ready to listen. Thanks for the help! :)

I tried it once a long time ago with an 80k mile stock cam and the new lifters didnt spin. So i pulled it out and threw it away. In went a new cam and lifters and the problem was solved. Its too cheap to risk wiping a lobe and sending metal through the engine. Check to make sure they spin if you try this and good luck. Not worth the aggravation imo.
