I have a stock 87 T with a gutted cat, Adj. waste gate, and chip (don't know what kind, bought the car off of a grandma and her son put in in for her.) Any ways the car runs great, but at full boost and WOT I get a light shutter. I can't tell if it is knock. If it is it is minimal. I do not know how much boost I am putting out, my guge was stolen with my other T. Any input would be nice. Thanks a lot. :D

shudder

Possibly check the coil pack and module. I had a bad one....and at WOT, the boost tended to fluctuate up and down slightly on its own. It sort of felt like a shutter. Also....be careful not to overboost without a boost guage. I might lay off WOT until you get one. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Do you know how to test the coil and module. I know Gm says you cant test the module, but I learned a wile ago that you can. I dont like to get on her much at all, just bought it a few weeks ago.

coil pack testing

I know that theres a device to test it. But Im not sure who makes it or how to get one. Im sure someone on this board can help you find a tester and check it out.

"Check the ohms from one post, to the post opposite it and look for 11K to 13K ohms (car having been warmed up). From 1 to 4, 5 to 2, and 3 to 6"

I can pilfer any other info that you might need! ;) :D
