Slow spool then boost psi drop

Recent upgrades:
Rebuilt transmission
New 2800 stall convertor
New drive shaft
Razor meth kit

Turbo spools slowly to 14-15 psi then when it shifts to second gear the boost psi drops off rapidly. The turbo is fairly new. Any suggestions.

Air cleaner is how big? Have you tried it w/ the cleaner off?

That LS style MAF can cause issues when butted directly to the air cleaner.
