SMC bottle location

I have an 85 GN and have bought the SMC kit for it I am curious as to where everyone puts the alky bottle? The braided hose isn't long enough to put on the radiator shroud unless I get a longer hose but would't that put lag into pump speed? If I need to get a longer hose where is a good place to get one? Thanks in advance for any advice.

I'm pretty certain SMC can provide a longer hose.

If you find a longer hose, you don't really have to be concerned about the "lag". My friend mounted his bottle over by windshield washer reservoir, and uses a hose that's at least 2 feet long. He doesn't have any trasitional knock either. He got the hose from a custom shop here in town, can't say where you should find one, But I agree with Look Quick, Steve should be able to get you one.

Because it's a 85 hot air I'm afraid that if I mount it any place that isn't cool enough the alky will get hot and not do its job as well. I'm trying to figure out where it can be placed in the engine compartment with having some air blow in from the outside to keep it cool.

My Alky bottle is sitting right on top of the lower radiator hose in the Camaro . But there's only so many places for things......
