In the instructions it says that if you are staying with the stock intercooler to drill the hole in the underneath portion of the curve. My problem is after i installed the nozzle it hits my maf pipe.Could i fill the hole in and redrill on the side of the up pipe! thanks John

You sure you can't move your MAF around so that it misses? I'm not sure how plugging the hole will work. Maybe tap a brass plug into it and JB weld it. Mine was really close with the stock intercooler. I put a V4 in yesterday and it's about the same.

This is the reason I'm so wary about drilling holes in my car. It actually says to drill the hole one inch above the sleeve that connects the up-pipe and i/c. Sounds like you drilled too high. When it 'hits' the MAF pipe, do you have a chrome pipe or the dryer hose? If it's the dryer hose, I guess it wouldn't be too bad, but if you have the chrome pipe and the nozzle fighting for the same space, I don't know what to tell ya. Check the for sale section, I often see people sellin' polished up-pipes.

Did you install the nozzle in the curved part of the pipe? I don't suppose you could turn the pipe around......if I remember right, the pipe will only go in one way. It almost sounds like you drilled the hole in the wrong end of the pipe. Rather than trying to plug the hole, I'd get another pipe and start over.....but that's me.

Did you drill the hole closest to the intercooler, which would be correct, or closest to the throttle body, which would be wrong.

I had Steve make me a 1 gallon setup and all went in with no issues with the stock IC. Thanks Steve.

Now I'm going thru the pains of tuning this thing in. I now keep blowing the intercooler hose off from the compressor, and that's with the upgraded hose hit from DK.

Good luck!

Thanks to all replies but i did drill at the bottom of the pipe maybe the reason it hits is because i made my own maf pipe from polished stainless.Maybe i did drill a tad to high but could i plug the hole and redrill off to one side a bit.

Yeah, I'm havin' trouble eliminating all of my knock.:( I also kept blowing off vacuum lines, first was the wastegate actuator line, then the Y-fitting, then the AFPR vacuum line. Zip-ties everywhere.;)
