I have an SMC micro switch and I need to adjust the "on point" of the switch. Do I need to turn the allen screw counter clockwise to lower the on point? Is there a general rule of thumb for the adjustment? ie.... 1/4 turn is equal to a 1/4# adjustment of pressure? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Keith

This is going from memory. I believe clock-wise raises the boost turn-on point. Counter-clock-wise lowers the turn-on point. One full 360 degree turn is about 1 psi boost difference.

I believe Chad is right about the direction to raise the boost but on my unit 1/4 turn equals about 1# change in set point.
1 full turn equals 3-4# change in set point on the hobbs switch.

Just my 2 cents

Thanks for the info guys. I guess i'll just have to play with the "amount of rotation" to get the activation pressure tuned in.

Keith:)
