smc update/ rebuild

i have a chance to buy an older style smc kit (round tank) with a bad motor. how much am i looking at to replace the motor, that would also be replacing the tank too right?

what about the updates? how much do they cost and what do you get in that?

i emailed smc a few days ago, they said $95 for the update thats not counting changing to the weather pack connectors or all the other stuff there doing now. and they don't have ay old round style bottles setting around anymore.

so thats out of the question, does anyone know where i can get an older tank with motor from?

what do your setups use razor?


i'd like to be able to controll it from in my car with an smc type thing but its looking like i'll have to go for the simplier diy setup.

denn454, I dont use a submerged pump for certain reasons. Basically my setup is the same as the DIY with a few twists added.

Now I have some customers that use the SMC controller to run the bigger external pump. Thats another option if you have a controller.

What can I say.. thanks for a price update on what it costs to repair a broken SMC pump.

Anything specific, please ask. I'll do what I can.
