The cops don't want to shoot it cause they will have to fill out too much paper work so they were happy we were able to take care of that for them. If they need me or my pops to shoot anything (or anybody) else for them at least they know where to find us now! LOL:eek::D

My dad's Serbian made Zastava EZ9 9mm pistol which is pretty much a copy of a Sig P226.

Or do like my dad did when we trapped one in the attic he took the trap stuck it behind his buick in the garage started the car then shut the door..He waited like 10 mins went back out there and violla gassed dead racoon!!!!

Good plan but if he was really trying to make it look like a suicide he should have left a note

what makes you think it has rabies?

It was stumbling around, falling down for no reason, and seemed very disoriented which are all the tell tale signs. Plus, it was way too friendly as it was letting us get too close without trying to flee. Also, Racoons are normally night time creatures and this one was active during the day. It looks like it's one hind leg had been bitten pretty bad most likely by a Coyote which we have in this area as well.

Thanks for the info. I've seen a few racoons and some coyotes lately around here. Apparently they don't play well together and I don't want either near me. lol

Sounds about right! One of our stray cats that adopted us got into a fight with one recently, cat came out the loser minus his tail! Racoons can get pretty nasty rabies or not. When I was a kid we had a family friend who had one as a pet for almost 20 years!

Speaking of coyotes, spotted one yesterday in Branford CT just meandering on the side of an exit off I-95!
