Valve geometry is not where it needs to be ......... :mad:
Vale stem tip pattern covers almost the complete stem. Probably "learn to live with it as long as you use stock rockers since they last 200K miles?
 
forget it-!!!

Only 1 way to change pattern---raise or lower rocker shaft--a strip of shim stock under the shaft is a good way to break pedestal--unless you can cut a tapered strip.

Thanks Lee. Experimeted and looks like I really need to "lower" the shaft in my set-up about 0.020 - 0.025". Lifter preload is set 0.035 - 0.040". I was aware of the required tapered shim for load distribution but breakage? YIKES!
Guess I'll have to live with it. :mad: (Or make an "offset shaft" .... :rolleyes: )
