My book keeper embezled (sp?) over $40,000 from my business. One of the items she purchased was a $6500 horse. The officials are siezing her property this week or monday, and giving it to me. The truck and trailer I can sell, what the hell do I do with a horse? I guess its some awesome horse and she paid $6500 for it and that was a steal. Maybe I just put it in the backyard with the dog. Feed it table scraps? My neighbors are gonna freak. Seriously, I think the sheriff has a stable and is going to hold onto it until I sell it, which is cool. I guess the bitch was really attached to the horse, I should have it made into glue just to watch her suffer. So anybody need a horse? How about a diesel ram and horse trailer? Stupid cowgirl, why couldn't she buy car stuff? I'm glad they are taking her stuff, then I'm suing her for the rest. Justice feels good.:)

Thanks for the update.

When I first read the title, I was wondering if that's what the ladies have been telling you.

Seriously, I'm so glad to hear of a situation that actually works out for the 'victim'. Of course, ya wish it never happened in the first place, but at least nothing is screwing you over so far. That's amazing that she was raking in THAT much. She MUST have really been stupid to think nobody would catch on to that. WOW.

Congrats again.

This post made my day! Reading the part about putting the horse in the backyard with your dog and feeding it table scraps; made me lmao! :D Good luck on selling the horse! (can you sell it on Ebay? I would love to see an auction on a live animal with your story attached to it, hahaha)

There are probably stables in your area where people keep their horses. I would bet the people that run these would give you some good advice or tips on how or who to sell your horse to.

You could name it Mr. Ed and get it to talk. ;)

Let us know how it turns out!

and you thought a car was hard to sell?

I am surprised you got some action as quick as you did! That's a good thing!:D

(if it eats, has tits or tires, its trouble........)

Sam, what's the stats on the truck?
Me or someone I know might be interested if the price is right.

Thanks guys! This is far from over, this stuff will help but barely puts a dent in what she did to my business. Not sure we'll pull through. It'll be tough.

The sheriff is going to hang onto the horse for me, and take care of it. I have some acquantances that know horses and will be willing to help sell it.

The truck is a 92 dodge ram, 3/4 or 1 ton, non- dually, red and black 2 tone. It has the cummins turbo diesel, and somewhere in the neighborhood of 150,000 miles. It was in nice shape, no rust, ran awesome, we'll see how it is when I get it back. The trailer is supposedly really nice, but I've only seen the outside. I know she paid like almost $6000 for it, and she seemed to be getting great deals on all this stuff. I will also have a bunch of cowgirl clothes for sale, size zero.:D She was a skinny bitch! The detective said anything she has that she bought with my money is mine, no matter what. They froze her bank accounts today, hopefully theres some actual money left. Its mine too.

The wheels of justice spun fast on this one, but thats not the norm- Lets just say I had an important family member make a phone call. I knew it was a good idea for my sister to marry that guy! Now we have to sue for the rest of the damages, which may be easier than we thought. Turns out a short time ago, her parents declared bankruptcy. In order to prevent losing their farm and land, they put it in her name. Thats called bankruptcy fraud, punishable by jail, not taken lightly. One of two things will happen: Either she still has it in her name, and we can sue for it, or its been transfered back into her parents name, and my lawyer will basically blackmail them into paying me. It sure feels good to be on the other end of the screwing! I feel no remorse for anything that happens to her or her family. I'm pretty sure her mom knew about it, she should have stopped her or told me. F' em, they get what they get, I'll visit them in jail.

I guess she must have thought she could pull this off. Dumbass. Like I wouldn't miss $40,000. I can't see how she can sleep at night knowing she may have ruined the lives of some hard working honest people. Not to mention my employees, who don't want to work elsewhere. I feel like I let them down.

What tipped you off?

Was it the $6,000 trailer or the horse that requires a million dollars a month to take care of on a working girls salary?

If it flies. ****s or floats, rent it.

Drew:D

I wasn't even curious when she bought all this stuff, her family has money, and they have always spoiled her. Her grandma owns a lot of land, and has a lot of money, and helps her out whenever she needs it. I'm guessing she didn't need it too much lately, huh?

My anger still grows every day. The investigators suspect her boyfriend may have had a hand in this. I really hope so, I'd love to be able to whoop someones ass when this is over. I won't hit a girl, but him I'll stomp dead. I know thats childish and immature, but I need revenge, and I need to do it myself.

What kinda biz do you have that you wouldn't miss 40k? Can I be your next bookkeeper :)

something other than the cost can cause a deal to be good

Hell yeah she was getting good deals....considering YOU were the one footing all the bills. Deals don't get much better than that!!!

I never said I didn't miss it, on the contrary, it has hurt us badly. She covered up the evidence of the missing money, like the phone calls from the bank, and from vendors who didn't get paid. They should have called me, which they didn't. My lawyer agrees, and thats why the bank is paying me now.

This type of thing happens all the time, you'd be suprised. Another local business in our trade had the same thing happen, only to the tune of $150,000 and $125,000 in unpaid payroll taxes. It shut him down. Its easy to trust people, and they take advantage of it.

What business u in?

Guess bookkeepers don't get paid to well in your area so they steal instead.?

holy cow!!!

wow sam, I hope you guys get it all worked out.....again what business are you in and is there any way we can help?

s*it happens....every hour every day, just up to whoevers in charge to clean it up better than it was......

at least you learned a valuable lesson thus far, no matter how much you "think" you can trust someone, you never really can.....if I were you I'd hire an employee to take your place in the business, and either you or the wife? take care of the books.....in our business (MPE/ECP) I dont have that option because the products we produce require higher levels of skill than most employees can provide...Ex a good all around fabricator with common sense would get $30-40 MIN /per hour.......we cannot afford to pay anyone that so we hire employees that can do particulars well, Ex: welder, machining, (cleaning ;) hi dan lol) general fabrication, assembly, shipping, etc......we can still barely cover those few....since the business is so unpredictable....

Good luck with all.....and the "one horsepower" comment DEFINITELY damn near made me spill my coffee lol:cool:
