think I would pressure test your IC....if it is beat up, may be leaking....would cause all your problems

Man, you guys are great, I'm learning a lot here, espically since I'm new to this and don't know alot about these TR's, I can take the engine out and put it back in with my eyes closed though.. haha

The guy that helps me with this keeps thinking that it is mechanical, not tuning, but again, he doesn't know a lot about it either, this is a complete learning experience... but according to you guys it seems like it is 100% tuning?

I will get my IC cleaned to start with, just to make sure, I'm looking for a IC fan, mine broke and I can't get one! Did anyone have this trouble before? if so what did you do...

My launch is super slow, takes about 2 car lengths before it even wants to boost hard, how do i change this? Like I said before, I can only launch at 7psi...

Is there any members here in the Maritimes, Canada? I will travel to see them to get this car working like it should... I need help to learn more about it.

At idle, what should my spark be at? IAC? MAF? etc,

To drive the car, it feels great nice and solid, and everything, it is my daily driver, seems to drive along so nice, doesnt miss or anything.

You really don't need the IC fan.
But if you must, email me and I will sell you one.
Two good suggestion about too much timing and the IC.
Check the IC by cutting up an old tire tube. Cut the valve steam out to use on one end and cover the other end with some more of the tube. Clamp down, air up, and spray with soapy water and look for leaks.

just another possibility to throw into the mix.....when my driver's side header was cracked it was dog slow to build up boost....

Still has a cat. converter?
Well, I'm kinda new at GN blasting, but...
Mine went so slow I thought it was Very Serious. Had a hundred suggestions, almost all complicated.
I'm used to older muscle cars, kinda basic. So, I changed the fuel filter (real narsty!), and cleaned out the cat. It was so bad inside was all broken up, so shook it all out of the inlet side & bolted back on.
Better than when I bought it, and price was free.

No Cat on er, here in Nova Scotia we have no emission laws, so whatever goes! New gas filter on it as well..

I don't have any exhuast leaks, i double checked and triple checked, and nothing..

Tomorrow I am going to clean the IC and do a compression test, see what happens there, I'm in the process of getting another chip, having a hard time finding a feul map for the MSD 38's though..

I'll let you know how it goess....
