Oh! There it is!

Dodged a bullet on this one. No damage to the valve or the seat, and nothing made it through to destroy the catalytic converter.

No sad faces. There was no damage to the gate valve or the seat. Two new gaskets and an hour to R&R and I'm back in business.
But expect the unexpected.
