He should be charged with 1st degree murder. And get the death sentence the FNG POS.
But nope he probable would get 5 years some fines and get out in 3 years.

My friend Jim, and his wife were killed by a drunk driver. Whatever you have planned the next day is not worth the risk of driving home. Sure you may of made it home a million other times with no problem. It only takes that one time to change someone's life forever.

The driver of the pickup, Michael Gagnon, 24, also was taken to a hospital, but his injuries did not appear to be as serious, Santiago said.

Why the hell does this always happen in these kind of accidents? It's always the drunk driver that doesn't get killed or seriously hurt....instead it's an innocent family.

That does seem to be the case in accidents that are reported. I wonder what the actual statistics are on injuries to drunk drivers vs. non drunk. Maybe being drunk lets you flop around without getting hurt?
I don't go out on New Years anymore, too much chance of something bad happening.

sad news, i too stay home and away from windows, idots around here always fire into the air , as if the freakin bullet is never going to come down, IDIOTS!
that guy should be charged but i would hold the bar somewhat responsible also, that bar tender should have known that guy was hammered blood alcohol level at .254 over 3 times the limit:mad: , i know it's hard to hold the bar partially responsible but they just can't let anyone come in get hammered and then just drive off:rolleyes: , laws are in place in new jersey which make sence to me New Jersey Cops Target Bars | DUILaws.com

Zero tolerance for DUI's. I always work midnight shift. I just pray that I never get hit by a drunk driver.

I was following that story yesterday. When it first came out details were sketchy but you had to know it was going to be a DUI. That dad is going to wake up (if he's lucky) with his wife and 2 of his kids dead and one of his kids seriously messed up. It wasn't clear who the other kids belonged to.

If I were one of the Taco Bell workers I'd be wondering if there were more I could do. I'm sure they did all they could, but you'd always be wondering. I worked the closing shift at Wendy's for years and saw lots of messed up people come through there. If they came inside we'd stall them until the police got there. It's tougher when they come through the drive-thru. Other than physically blocking their path there's not much to do other than take a stupid long time preparing their food (at which point they either drive away or put a fist through the drive-thru window glass).

Jim

Very sad. At .254 bac, that guy was tanked. He should face the max penalties.

Update

The driver who caused the crash was charged with five counts of vehicular homicide. His bail was set at $1.25 million (250K per death). He faces up to 40 years in prison...Sadly there were 7 deaths on Ohio roads this new year's weekend, 5 of those in this one split-second disaster.

Thanks for reading and heeding - Jimmy

All this is good hype. But wait till they start with the "plea to this and walk away with a slap in the hand" just like every other case here in NY.

If you Drink, Drive and kill some one the minimum sentence should be, you get out when the dead person gets up and walks again.

I go to parties and if I have to drive I DON’T DRINK so Fluck these POS all of them.

They should get charged with murder.
If I close my eyes and shoot a gun in to a crowd and kill some one I get a murder charge.
So why not for these POS?
