Software requirements for powerlogger??

Hey guys,

Had a question on the power logger scan tool. I've been told this is a good scan tool and am really considering getting one. I know that a laptop is sort of a must have with these...but have a question and can't find the answer on the website. My employer sells old (by old, I mean under 5 years) laptops (Dell) for CHEAP. The only catch is that they do not have an operating system installed on them. Anybody know if an operating system is required to have one of these scan tools work? Suppose I could find a download somewhere for an operating system if need be...just trying to find out the best way to go about getting myself a laptop for the car...:biggrin:

yes in order to run any computer you would need to have an OS installed. whether it be windows98, 2000, vista, - whatever. then you need to then make sure the software [in this case powerlogger] will work with the installed OS.

i am running powerlogger on an older laptop with no issues, just make sure the computer has USB ports.

Yes, you would need at least a USB port, and WIN XP is recommended to run Powerlogger.
