Is there some unwritten rule that white letter tires are not put on GN or T-Types. In the case of a gray or white t type with GTA style wheels I thought the combo would be nice but have never seen it.

my gn had white letter hoosiers when I bought it...have some old pics around here somewhere...

I have solid white letter tires on my 86 T-Type with the stock rims. They are Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/T radial tires,i like the look of them.;)

I love solid white letter tires....have them on my '69 Vette...they look great....have them on both of my Jeeps....looks awesome.......but, I have American Racing Torque Thrust IIs on my '87 Grand National (Thank you Mark H. TRCustoms;)) and still cannot make up my mind whether to put the white letters on the outside or inside....can't find any pictures with Torque Thrust IIs with while letter tires on a black Grand National to see what they would look like....for now, just black walls............all in all, it boils down to personal preference.....I would do what makes you happy and the hell with anyone who gives you crap about it.....the car is to make YOU happy, no one else.....well.....er......maybe the wife? Then, play it safe.:cautious: Do it HER way!:p

Go to HomeDepot/Lowes, for a couple bucks, you can get a white oil based Sharpie paint pen to make your current ones white lettered.

I believe he was asking about putting the white letters out on GTA wheels, which off the top of my head can't remember the last time I've seen that.

I have BFG radial T/A's on my 87 GN with whites out on stock GN wheels. Definitely has that mid-80's look which I like and what I was shooting for.

I just replaced my drag radials with BFGoodrich radial ta's. I opted for white letters in/blackout out. Gives a stealth look IMO.

No white lettering, solid or outlined, on my white turbo-T.
Personally, I like these cars with black walls only.
