something fishy

Hello everyone. I have bad news to report to the tr community. I have an 87 gn that has a 3" dp, fpr, walbro fp (not sure whether 307 or 340), chip by Gary (street performance), nittos, single pipe 3" exhaust no cat, and otherwise stock. With all of this said I have a friend who has a 00 vette and we have always been competitive so we raced and he beat me. Actually i don't feel that bad because it was my first time racing a tr dealing with building up the boost and the like. Mind you this was a year ago when I first bought the car. We raced maybe once after that with the mods added that i have listed above with the same result. This time i believe I gave him either 4 or 6 cars from behind and the hit, which I now know you never do. Recently I heard from reliable sources his car went 12.96 and my quest is to destroy him. Also, I have or should I say had a 2800 stall from Postons with what I thought was a rebuilt trans that I fried at the track 2 weeks ago. In the near future with some of your help I intend on rebuilding the confidence in myself and and those non-tr believers.

Hey dude,

Lots of things you can do to easily get your car into the low to mid 12's with a few more mods...Combo...Combo....Combo...Cannot emphasize this enough...Man, the 2 1/2 inch ATR Dual Exhaust is really good on my GN and its not overly annoying ya know.(I.E)...Spend a few $$$'s on your ride and you'lll easily walk that vette..
