I, personally have checked this car out. I was looking at it for a forum member who lives elsewhere and was considering buying this one. I still have pictures of it. It is a very nice car....super clean, but the guy selling it is kinda a wierdo....nice guy, but wierd. He always makes all these references to 'the boss' who is never seen and apparently has no actual name. If I remember right, their reserve was set at $17k, but they've run it a few times and it has yet to sell, so they might have come down a little. If I had the money, I'd get this one. It is so clean! The forum member who I spoke of earlier went with a different car, but had spoken to Conleys and they verified the extensive amount of work that went into this car. It's awesome. In fact, if anybody here considers this one, talk to me first. All in all, the guy selling it is in the business of selling special interest cars and doesn't seem crooked, just kinda dumb.......when I was there he asked me, 'Are these things really that fast?'

That looks like a sweet ride!

I love the rims and it looks like it has rear discs too.

Pics could be a little better though to really represent the car better.

If you'd like a couple of better pics, I can email them to you.

I just thought it was odd how he states 30K miles but then says the odometer was rolled because of a new motor.

Like I said, he's not a crook, just kinda flighty. In his defense though, if it really was rolled, it deserves it....that car is clean from bumper to bumper.

My cars just as clean, probably cleaner. I have rebuilt everything as well as new paint. Maybe I should get to roll my odometer back? Hell, if I started it at 1000, which is about how many miles are on on the new stuff, maybe I could get like 30 grand? I give a rats ass how clean a car is, mileage is mileage. And if all the "new" stuff has 30,000 miles, well, thats not very new when you're talking performance rebuilds and such.

Wow. $16,000 motor. What the hell did they do, gold plate the block????

I don't care how much stuff you buy and who does the work. It would be pretty hard to invest $16,000 in a rebuild of a motor....

Looks like a nice car, maybe worth the $12K its at now.

Its an 87 - last year of production was 1980 according to him... :D

And I didn't believe it, so I checked it out myself. i pulled the motor out of my Suburban, rebuilt it, and reinstalled it. Low and behold, the odometer just starting rolling back all by itself!

Yours did that too huh? Now I cant wait to rebuild the motor in my 1990 Suburban with 184,000 miles on it. Maybe it will go back to 0 but I doubt it since the 'Burb gets offroad quite a bit and the body is full of holes and rust.
