I need a little assistance.

I need the spark plug wiring order.

I believe mine is backwards.

Here is what I have.....

If you were to stand at the front bumper and look at the coil pack.

This is what I have numbered..

Rear
4 5 6
Passenger Side Coil Pack Driver Side
3 2 1
Front

Now......

From the same perspective....

Plug wire #1 goes to the passenger rear plug.
Plug wire #2 goes to the passenger front plug.
Plug wire #3 goes to the passenger middle plug.
Plug wire #4 goes to the driver front plug.
Plug wire #5 goes to the driver rear plug.
Plug wire #6 goes to the driver middle.

I think I have my wires going to the wrong plugs. Am I right?

If so... Please give me the correct diagram! :)

Thanks!

front of coil pack from left (passenger side) to right (drivers side): 3 5 1 and rear from left to right:6 2 4

#1 plug is drivers side front
#2 plug is passenger side front
#3 plug is drivers side middle
#4 plug is passenger side middle
#5 plug is drivers side rear
#6 plug is passenger side rear

I tried gofstbuick's suggestion and it's not starting. Kinda backfires...

Any suggestions?

are the coils mounted properly. sounds dumb but i have heard of coils being removed and re-installed backwards. if that's the case - turn the coil pack 180 degrees and start over.

Okay. The coil is monted in the right direction. I've got #1 on the front driver side. Could the green , yellow and blue wires be on the wrong connector inside? Could some one tell me which wire goes on which connector?

Right now I have yellow on #6, green on #2, single blue on #4, and multi blue starting on #1 then to 5 and 3.

Thanks!

It does not matter how the coil is mounted as long as the correct coils are connected to the correct module wires or, you know that they are wired incorrectly and account for it.

When the coils are mated to the module wires correctly, you can swap the wires on 1,4 or 2,5 or 3, 6 as they are common coils and both sides fire at the same time. In other words, when cyl 1 fires on the combustion stroke, cyl 4 is also fired but it is on the exhaust stroke and it does not matter. Therefore, you can have plug wire number one hooked to number 1 or 4 on the coil and it will run perfectly and vice versa. Same for the other two pair.

Looking at the car from the front

Coilpack:

1 5 3
4 2 6

cylinder order is:

6 5
4 3
2 1

For the module wiring...

Blue wire is the common wire that runs down all three coils on one side.

Yellow-1,4

Green- 2,5

blue/black-3,6

Thanks!

Swap #1 and #3, theyre on the wrong coils. That should be it. Front to back doesnt really matter as the coil is firing both at the same time.

Pairings go 1/4 2/5 and 3/6. Knowing that, there are only 9 possible choices. Plus, the cyl is marked on the coil :)

My coil pack is really screwed up. My car is running normally again but with this strange combo.

My coil pack is mounted showing the following....

Rear

6 2 4

3 5 1

Front

OKay. Here's what makes my car run.

Coil 1 goes to passenger rear plug
Coil 5 goes to passenger front plug
Coil 3 goes to passenger middle plug
Coil 4 goes to driver middle plug
Coil 2 goes to driver rear plug
Coil 6 goes to driver front plug

Looks like my coil pack is reversed.

I'll check the internal wiring to see if that is the problem.

But this works.

:D

If you read carefully, what we have all told you, you will see there is nothing really wrong other than you mounted the coil the opposite way from the standard way but it is connected to the module correctly. Therefore the common coils are still firing the right spark plugs even though the wires are hooked to the opposite sides of the coil.
