I have been looking into using this oil on my next oil change. I only put on about 500 cruising miles on per year and I change my oil once a year. They advertise having 1800 ppm of zinc / phosphorous and seems like a really good oil for a low mileage, stock, factory flat tappet cam motor with bolt on's in my sig. Has anyone tried this oil ? If so what do you think ?

Its just simple to buy the ZDDPlus additive and a good name brand oil. I run Valvoline in all my vehicles.

I agree, but it would even be easier to buy an oil with the proper amount of ZDDP already in it, just as long as it gives the proper protection like the name brand oils. I also purchased 4bottles of ZDDPlus from a supplier and all of them had started to gel in their unopened container so I am looking for an alternative. Thanks for your reply.

Somethings not right with the gelling. I have used it for years now and never seen or heard of it. Please contact the vendor you bought it from and let them know.

I contacted the vendor last year and I was told to shake it up and it would be fine. I did read a few post that other people were experiencing the same problem but had no issues using it. One thing I do know is I was having issues near the end of last year where I couldn't rev past 5000 rpm at the top of third gear and it felt really flat and when reading the plugs the #1 plug had a lot more carbon build up than the other five plugs. I am hoping that it is valve spring related and not cam related, I would really hate to think that a $10 bottle of additive would wipe out my 49,000 mile stock cam. So I am trying to find an alternative and was thinking that Spectro oil would be the answer. Thanks for replying, Kyle.

Well being that it sat in the unopened bottled and started to gel what happens whennits sitting in the oil? I would imagine not much.overall but still somewhat scary thought
