Has there ever been an episode with A Turbo Buick layin the smackdown? If not I would like to throw out an idea where one of the boardmembers with vendor and other boardmember financial backing sign up and see what he could win. Just an idea....what do ya think...anyone interested?

nice idea...

its fake though... from what I hear you leave with your car, win or lose...

My neighbor is in the process of building a "5 pass" buick for the show. Stock suspension with a TH400. I hope he goes through with it.

Haven't seen the show yet but would like to. I didn't think the whole pinkslip thing would be for real anyhow. I mean it is really hard to imagine someone putting as much time, money and sweat into their car to give it up for some unforseen event. I mean even if you have an 8 sec car and you know everyone else has a 12 sec car but you miss a gear or lose traction or something stupid are you really going to hand over the keys? The thought would at least have to pass thru your mind. And what if someone has a 7 sec car? There's always someone faster, right?

I've had a couple of friends on the show when it was in Orlando. No one really won/lost their car. I was asked to come over when they filmed it, but had the car torn apart. I plan on being at the next one.

Last season the Pinks! policy regarding the winner taking the loser's car was pretty lax. It seems most losers still had their vehicles after the show aired.
I was told that this season the racers must agree to forfeit their cars to the winner if they lose. They sign titles over to the show prior to the race.
Justin Burcham won the white Mustang coupe in this season's opener, and actually took the car home. A deal was later struck to sell the car back to the loser at a reasonable price. Most racers participating this season make buy-back arrangements that are agreeable to both parties before the race.

I got this info from one of the JPC team members after the show aired last week.

Last year was fake like that. This year they make you sign your car over to Pinks before you make a pass down the track. From that point on the car is no longer legally yours.

oh yea, the host is a huge tool that knows nothing about racing.

I was just going to say that. I have never actually watched a whole episode (I can't stand the annoying whining), but I did notice that the host is a dope. Doesn't he walk around with half a dozen phones/two ways strapped to his side? Yeah, what a tool!

I know the guys from Miller Race Cars,They came home without the car.

Also.......

I was wondering what the selection process was...Does the car owner list what the components of the car is then they pair him up with a similar car or what? Last nights cars were not close to evenly matched ....that Camaro was real fast, and left like a prostock car. The final race should have given 2 cars to the Nova and use all u have. Speaking of tool that ass from Texas let off on the one pass tryin to setup the next race and got caught. He couldnt even make a loss look good. And his buddy doin the getto dance was just horrible. Guys like that should be left home...or even better yet, shame on the producers for allowing that unsportsmanship to make it on the air.

You are talking about guys you don't know.

They are local to Dallas and that motor was a used up old dirt track motor that beat that high dollar slow as hell nova.

The name of the game is like a street race, you work the game in your favor, don't be mad if your guy got hustled.

The camaro you speak of still has stock leaf springs and slapper bars! WTF are you talking about, leaves like a pro stock?!!

Too bad for the guys with the nova that they don't understand the importance of putting together the right combo and setting up a cars chassis.

BTW that nova left like ****,not Trevin's fault there.Just a weak assed high dollar car that got took out by a budget bracket car that had only run 1/8 mile before going down there.

You should really think about what you are saying when you talk about people or things you know nothing about.

Those guys from Conn were a bunch of wusses asking for cars with the setup they had,too bad they really needed them.

Welcome to the W.W.F. of car racing. I tried to watch an episode and all the yelling and boasting is just hype to attract the ricer audience. Fast and Furious now has a series on tv.

Ever been street racing? Obviously not, the show is only 1/2 hour long, which is about 1/8 of the arguing you would see in real life. You gonna race for titles and be like "Yeah, you have 300 more horse than me and better everything, so lets race heads up."? No.

And if they were trying to attract ricers I think they would have the brains to feature, I dunno, IMPORTS?

My buddy and I want to go on the show (with an agreement the winner sells back the car for an agreed upon price), but his car isn't very clean and I think they would frown on that.

Either way, it beats watching 90% of the crap on TV nowadays.

I agree - it is a cool show to watch.

The PINKS web site says in the FAQ that the looser does in fact loose the car but then goes on to say that the two parties are private individuals that can do whatever thay want to do after they leave the show.

I know a guy that was on the "reality show" Masterminds on THC. He said it was all scripted!!!!!

I know the guy with the camaro, and trust me when I tell you he did in fact win the Nova... and it is a very sweet car BTW.

the camaro was slapped together for this show and they did not have a 1/4 of the money that the people with the nova had in their car. It was put together with old dirt track junk. and a BUNCH of nitrous.

however, with that being said, the Camaro still runs 5s in the 1/8, so it is no slouch.

TUrbosam I was probably street racing before you were born and doing so about 4 days a week. We had our own xmas tree and at times the police here in Seattle watched untill they received a complaint then would break us up. As for all the sh-t talking that is the Fast and Ficticious outgrowth. When we raced it wasnt about a 100 hp car taking on a 500 hp car and hoping one had enough of a headstart it was headsup. A X amount of a headstart; how is that a race? Again this is about hype and if you think the yelling and screaming is what racing is all about then you haven't really street raced much except with the ricer kids. I went to a couple of ricer street races with my son and it was similar to the stuff on Pinks. The race event was not all imports either but most were very slow imports and domestics. The posturing and yelling is an embarrasement to racing. You can see this on a TV showing of the NOPI drags. W.W.F uses the same technique. Its about the show not the event. Tune in to NHRA racing or NASCAR etc etc and see how much of that crap you see. No one says you cant enjoy it, I am sure W.W.F has a following. There is a lot of truth to the saying " What has an I.Q. of 30 and 10 teeth"? " The 1st 5 rows of any W.W.F event combined".
By the way if you have to make a deal as to buying the cars back then what does that tell you about a RACE? It tells me its just a show.NO harm no foul.
