Will this speedo connect to the stock cable or do I need to go electronic?

Yes, I actually had 2 different pro-comp's hooked up that were just like that on the stock trans. I just recently switched to an electric because I upgraded to a TCI 6x transmission. If you want a brand new pro-comp 3 3/8 I have one for sale that I cant use now. Its the black face with yellow lettering though

edit: you will need a vss converter, I think I have that too though lol

Wow, wish it was an ultra lite, we could make a deal! if you are just swapping out the speedo but leaving everything else alone why do you need a vss converter? Is there an output from the cluster that I will loose when removing it?

The ecm gets the speed sensor off the transmission through the gauge cluster I believe. When you remove this the trans and ecu no longer gets the speed settings. The car throws a code 24 (I think) and if your running a turbotweak chip it will have a cow. I know caspers sells them as does autometer.
