speedometer?

afew months ago my stock speedometer needle stopped working and i was told it was some cable that might need adjusting whick im not familiar with so i have no clue wat is the problem ? do i need to buy a new cable or speedometer ? is this an easy fix ? how can i fix this

On my original GN there was a coupler just inside the firewall or outside (I can't remember but it had a plastic coupler in there that broke)- I had a one piece cable made from trans to speedo... might check that connection

so this cable that ur talking bout goes from the trans up to the speedometer ?

im trying to fix my speedometer and was told it might b some cable that goes from the speedometer to the tranny i took a pic of wat i think may b the maybe u guys can confirm this and help me out on wat needs to b done or replaced to make the needle on the speedometer work again another thing i noticed is that its drpping small drops of tranny fluid as u can see in the pic thanx

does the odometer work?
if the miles still roll over, then the cable is good and the problem is in the speedo itself.

the odometer stopped working as well is that the rite cable though in the pic that controls both functions?
