speedometer

My speedo meter is broken it not reading mpr or miles on the car haven't had a chance to look at but wasn't sure were to start......cable. gear on cable on digital speedometer thanks for your help

Unscrew the cable from the transmission and spin it (in reverse) with a drill motor. If the speedo works, it's in the transmission. If it doesn't work you know it's not in the tranny.
