Sprag or Spragless Stall Converters???

Sprag or Spragless stall converters. Which one is better or is it just personal preference? ATI claims that no stock or super stock final has ever been won with a spragless converter. Does anyone have any experience with spragless converters?

Fastest TSO car in the country runs a spragless converter:biggrin: Fastest hydraulic cammed TSM car runs a spragless converter:biggrin: 2 other record holders are using converters with mechanical diodes which is a sprag...only tougher. Spragless will make more heat in all cases. I drove my spragless converter as far as 3hr trips with no issues but I did run a large external cooler. I will suggest a diode or sprag depending on the situation. In some cases spragless is perfectly fine as well.
