People, for the most part, have just started using de-natured. Last year, there was very little talk of it. I suspect that de-natured is easier to tune with, and that more voluime is used per 1320. I'm guessing that the activation point is lower with de-natured, since it doesn't cool as well, it needs to get to work a bit earlier.

I havn't tried it yet, but I will be! :)

even if you have a low timing chip and are using denatured the spray on point should be at say 12 lbs. because the denaturred doesn't cool as well? I thought with a low timing chip you can have the spray on come later at say 14-15lbs. ANd with a race chip the spray on should come earlier? Am I understanding the alchy concept correctly?

Yes with more timing hence potential knock, you do need to turn the alky. on earlier in MHO. At least I do.

My SMC pump doesn't look too pretty after only three tankfuls of Denatured. Might have a bit too much methanol or something in it??? Coating on the outside looks like zip strip on paint.
