I need the correct 2-3 shift valve spring for a 2004R. This one is a BQ--I assume a BR is the same, but maybe not. Who knows and who is going to sell me one? Thanks.

Oh man, you could have a problem. I don't think you can get this spring only from GM. 
Some valve body kits have shift springs, but you have to install the WHOLE kit to make it work right. I don't know what EVERY kit on the market out there has in it. You could rob one from a used 200-4R valve body (more $$), but unless it's a BQ or BR the 2-3 shift point could be off. GM used both different valves & sleeves, as well as different springs to adjust shift points.
So, be carefull with those vb parts, for some of them are NSS: Not Servicible Seperately!
Yes, you can get the 1-2 Accumulator valve & sleeve from Sonnax, as well as a TV plunger & sleeve from Sonnax, but that's about all they have for the 200-4R valve body itself.

Just did some more checking---I have a BR VB and the 2-3 spring is smaller in dia. than the BQ.What I really need is the correct BQ spring. I remember installing a Gil Younger shift kit a while back and it had 2 springs for the 2-3 valve. A blue one and a red one and it said to use the one that fit the shaft. Blue one being the larger dia. Having said that maybe the blue spring out of a NO YO YO kit will do. Thanks.

If you need the blue spring from the No Yo Yo kit, I've got one.

A good friend dropped off some left over trans parts recently---going through it I found the blue spring. Installed it this morning and all shift are perfect.
Cruiser, if you have more than 1 of the blue springs--I would like to buy 1--as I have another BQ core. If you only have 1, you better keep it as that is the one you need for a BQ.
