The Blackhawk County Street Machines car club is again hosting the annual Springfest Car Show at the Isle Casino in Waterloo, Iowa. Last year, there were well over 400 cars there and I think they even had to turn people away.

It is on May 1, 2011 from 7:30am - 3:30pm with awards shortly after. You can register the day of the show up until 1pm at which time voting begins.

I will scan in the information sheet with classes and such soon

There were just a handful of G-bodies there last year, but they were all nice examples.

Nice place for a car show. I was down there with my buddy and his cobra my car needed the motor put in.

Hmm... That's about a 3 hour ride from my home. Since I'll be putting in my engine this week, and get some good break-in miles on it, this may be a nice weekend trip. I'm sure I could find accomodations if I drove down Saturday night. Then I could attend the show on Sunday and drive home afterwards :)

Those first two Buicks look familiar for some reason......:p

I was going to post the video of the drunk guy peeing on my tires, but then I realized it was your T and not mine. I destroyed the evidence.

Destroyed the evidence, eh?? did you rinse his pee off with yours??

I plan on making the trip up this year as well....maybe the storms will hold out long enough for me to see you win again.... ;)

BTW...I want a piece of that T this time.....

Why not just stay right at the casino hotel? I have never stayed there but I understand it is quite nice. You'd be right onsite for the show at the break of dawn Sunday morning. You do want to get there fairly early unless yuo like idling in line for a long time wating to get parked in your class.

Um, maybe?

I think I am going to enter the Cobra this year as well. I'm not looking forward to show prepping two cars, but I won't spend too much time on the Mustang since that class is watered down anyway. You guys should come up Saturday and gamble all night. :)

Anyone going to this show is welcome to detail their car at my place. I'm not too far away...

It's cool and really windy today, but there shouldn't be any rain. There's supposed to be 450-500 cars, so I hope to see some other TR's there. :)

I had plans of leaving early from home and coming down to this show, but Friday afternoon my fuel pump took a dump, so here I sit broken hearted.

Enjoy the day, maybe next year!

It was a cold day, but at least the sun helped. There were 387 cars at the show, which was down about 75 from last year. It was a good show despite the wind and cold. Keith ended up getting second place in Street Machines 1983 - present, so congratulations on that one dude. Pics from the show are here -> Springfest 2011

Here's a video of the class Street machines 1983 - present, which was the class Keith and I were in. After the awards, one of the guys in a Monte was overheard saying "...those damn Turbo Buicks." ;)
