stainless ATR Pitbull Exhaust question

When I first got my T it came with the full stainless ATR Pitbull Exhaust , I took off the converter / resonator ? right on the down pipe and replaced it with a dump pipe with electric cut out. Thats my question though, it that their version of a converter or is it just like a resonator? Its straight thur with long slots running down the inside with screen showing in the long slots. I have had it on my shelf for a couple of years since I took it off and got to wondering about it yesterday, its stainless with the pitbull sticker still on it. Daniel
