hello, my car is stalling similar to when the maf sensor goes out. I swapped the maf sensor out twice and it keeps doing it. Could it be the coil pack? Help please

do you have a scanmaster?
is your check engine light on?
do you have fuel in the tank?

First, thanks for replying. No i dont have a scanmaster, Yes i have fuel and there is a check engine ligth. The car was running fine one night. The next day after i gave it some gas it started spurting after i go maybe 30-35 miles an hour. Then i have to let off the pedal and give gas again.

sounds like you might have yourself a little problem.. do you have a fuel pressure gauge? when was the last time you changed the fuel filter..you need to check what codes you have here is a good write up on how to manually check your malfunction codes if i were you once you jump the aldl use your phone or camera to record the check engine light when it goes threw its sequence! this should tell you whats gooing on with your car, post back here once you finish figuring out what mal code you have.. its not that difficult..

i had a similar issue along time ago with my 1st buick it was a clogged dirty fuel pump and fuel filter, it thru a mal code for lean.. so thats why i ask if you have a fuel pressure gauge just to rule out you fuel system in one shot

Ok, I swapped my coil pack and nothing has changed. I took it to a mechanic so he can plug the computer to it. It gave a code of 42 i guess its the electronic spark timing. I also figured that my gas tank is leaking. I will get back to you guys when I resolve this issue.

unplug the orange wire near the battery and take the ecm out of the kick panel unplug it, check for possible water damage, and or pin damage, do you have an aftermarket chip might want to check the chip also, then reconnect the ecm, and the orange wire and try driving it then..by any chance does your passenger floor ever get wet? if you have a spare ecm good time to try it out if still problems persists might want to check the plugs and wires... and all your grounds, coulb be as simple as a bad ground.

87 chriss thanks. After swapping ignition coil, i gave it gas and seemed ok but then did very little spurting then i would give it gas it spooled but then just stalled on me. I will try what you told me thanks again.
